Demo of RFRI FunctionalityOur digital edition will allow for multiple layers of annotation through tags and links that interconnect related information throughout the entire collection of materials. All materials will be searchable by these tags, allowing users to follow their own individualized lines of inquiry and assemble customized groupings of materials making connections between the resources in the collection on the basis of specific search criteria. The project demo provided here illustrates the results of a search in the entire database for the term crucifixion. This search produced a list of all items in the RFRI collection in which the word crucifixion occurs, or that were specifically tagged with the term. For this project demo, we have selected from the search result set a single audio file for a folk legend about Judas's betrayal of Christ. By activitating the link below, you will enter the RFRI pilot environment where you will be able to investigate the selected legend, as well as the directly related materials accompanying this legend in the RFRI collection: a video showing Easter practices in a Cossack cemetery in Yamenskii, and two icons of Christ and the crucifixion. As is the case for all materials in the RFRI project, each item in this thematic cluster is enhanced by scholarly description and commentary.
(NB: for all Cyrillic texts in the RFRI Project Demo you will need to ensure that your browser settings are enabled to view Unicode encoding.) |
